TurboOCR readings

Unread post by yoseff »

Sorry to create a separate topic , as i did already show my frustration on other one , but so far no answer , so i will put the questions in a simple way: What controls TurboOCR? What are expected readings at idle?
For more details on my situation , you can have a look here: viewtopic.php?p=826848#p826848
Thanks in advance and sorry for insisting , but i still believe it is something i can sort out , otherwise, i may give up on my beloved C5 in the near future... :(

It stands for Open Cycle Ratio.

According to FAP (App i use most of the time to check what's going on with engine) instructions, it should be at highest value when at Idle, but usually i see it at 60%. Occasionally it goes at 70 or even 89% , but never above 70% at idle. Still trying to understand its logic of work. Initially i would suppose that it's controlled by turbo vacuum electrovalve, but i'm not sure anymore, as it was supposedly changed , but still not working properly.

I can also see that turbo pressure specially at lower rpms is higher than what engine ask for. Not by much , but a little bit

I wonder if that might be the EGR valve opening? I think you need to get it on diagbox to see what's really going on.

That was my initial thoughts, but EGR valve is already out of the equation.
What would you suggest to check on Diagbox? I have it, but its difficult to drive and pay attention to it, so i use normally FAP and Torque apps that i see live data on android radio.

No errors in Diagbox that can give a clue until now (or in FAP)
