thanks for the hint. Do you perhaps have a video ready as instructions?

Different car, but same engine (and he refers to it as oil filter at the start...)

I noticed in this video the new fuel filter is slightly different to the one removed. When I replaced one on our 1.6 hdi Cactus the first one I bought was a Mann from GSF and looked like the new one in this video but my original one was like the one removed in this video so I did not use it. I then found there were 2 different ones available and a Bosch one from Eurocarparts was like the original so this is what I eventually used. To reduce fuel spillage I used a syringe to remove some of the diesel before lifting out the old filter and used a couple of plugs for the fuel lines.

hi everyone,

After changing it I got the error that the pressure is too low. I did it like in the video. Do I have to teach it with lexia? The car takes a long time to start.

I understand English a bit poorly. Do I need to pull it really tight or leave it a little loose?

Not sure on this model , but just as a matter of interest what voltage is your battery ? Reason why I ask I was getting low pressure readings regarding fuel pressure (on my 308cc) I cleared the codes , charged the battery , reconnected it, started the car , ran another diagnostic , no fault codes, not saying it might be your cause but you never know. Other wise it's possible fuel pump on the tank sender unit (?)

I would have to check which battery I have.

If I turn the ignition on and off twice the car starts normally.

In this video this is a non-professional replacement. The filter has collected dirt and possibly water and should be flushed out before putting in a new filter.

Long cranking possible causes
Battery losing its voltage . Possible
Air in fuel system, very possible
Timing error , doubt it
Lazy fuel pump , ?,possible.
Injector pump failing , ? Would run rough when running
Injectors ,timing wrong, maybe but when running the idle would be lumpy.
Also if filters are fitted wrong air can get into the system, check & tighten.

That's all I can thin of for now as my minds got blank, oh fuel pressure sensors can cause problems when they start to fail.
