Hello - newbie

Unread post by MarkIiii »

Hi all

New to this forum, now in my early 50s and many moons ago I started my driving passion by having a number of Citroen hatch backs. After passing my test at 19 back in 1992, my first car was shared with my twin brother, a beige 1.1 ford fiesta.....
As you can imagine it got quite heated at times sharing a car and agreeing who could use it.....so the time came to purchase my 1st car.
After assessing the market and what I was able to afford I short listed two cars a nova and AX gt.

AX GT won hands down, the stand out, fantastic design compared to all other hot hatches was the deciding factor, it also drove pretty well.

The car was well loved and I drove it everyday for 3 yrs until a rather sorry end at the hands of a double decker bus......I was quite lucky looking back, I walked away untouched, unfortunately my red gt was a total right off.
I still remember it being picked up and dumped onto the back of a recovery truck.
To say I was absolutely gutted would be an understatement.....

Welcome Mark :-D

I couldn't agree more about the AX GT :) I'm a bit of an AX enthusiast although I've not (yet) had the pleasure of a GT. One day maybe ;)

Enjoy the forum, it's a great place 8-)
