Citroen C5 II Hydraulic suspension front end dropped, changed pump, now car sits at max heigh

Unread post by laganini-dosada »

My dad is owner of C5  Saloon 2011. Month ago, during car ride back home car began to bounce on slightest bumps, when we came home and parked it car would drop on front and raise in back (kinda like hot rod of some sort). We seen authorized Citroen dealer and they couldn't find issue with car. We took it to some expert in these hydraulic suspensions and Citroens. After 3 days, he changed electronics on hydraulic pump and car rises but sits at kind of max height (that's what he says). We haven't been able to see car in person as that mechanic is little far away from us. He says we need electronics engineer to finish off job. Do you reckon Citroen will be able to do that or will any car electrician be able to do it? Thanks

It will be either the front hydraulic block, the height correctors or the BHI. Just don't get under the vehicle without independently supporting it with axle stands - or it'll crush you if it it drops - which it can do instantly...

Mechanic said he changed electronics on pump, now he needs his cousin or some else to do electronics. We gotta wait 2-3 days to see if they gonna be able to correct car as it's currently sitting at max height.

It's a bit strange, if the BHI is replaced, then it must be from the same car, with the same engine!!
Otherwise if it was a different, then the BHI must be reprogrammed with the diagbox.
The signal for the correct high of the car comes from the front and rear height sensors.

Kees.
