Hello all.
Just purchased a 1972 Citroen SM and in need of a workshop manual and any other important manuals that might be helpful to a newbie dealing with this car!
Floundering (foundering?) here in Texas, and not expecting that there will be any experts here in "Taik-sus".
Any advice ALSO WELCOME.
Thanks.

Re: New to Citroen and floundering....
There is not a lot of SM activity on this site (the SM was not sold by Citroen in the UK).
The USA was probably the only english-speaking market for the SM, so would be the obvious place to look for manuals.
A quick search did find some documentation, but I am sure that there was more.

For general questions on Citroen hydraulics etc. there is some expertise here.

Re: New to Citroen and floundering....
Hi....The SM in its basic principals of suspension/steering systems (how it works) is essentially a CX.....worth looking at those for information/workshop-books etc.
Engine/gearbox etc it may be worth extending a contact to Jay Leno,s workshop as he is known to be helpful to be "if you have one" very helpful and may be of assistance/parts sources/known specialists.
The is quite are tight but very helpful SM Groups in the UK and Canada....worth contacting them
Look here, the Dutch/Norwegians and Swiss are well known for being VERY GOOD at using English as a 2nd language

I would think is is well worth joining.....

The Facebook groups are very helpful.
Also the manuals are on the Semantics website for download.
In the USA try https://excelsiormotors.com
Good luck with it. My car is a UK model. There were sold here but in low numbers.
