Howdy,
After I did some work on my car, it stopped working. It starts, but the engine quickly cuts after 3 seconds.
It happened after I had removed the EGR valve and cleaned it. I also had the MAF sensor off and cleaned it. The car is a Citroen C5 HDI 1,6 2006.
I’m, lightly put, a novice when it comes to mechanics, so I could use some advice. Do anyone have any ideas what could be the culprit?
Citroen C5 HDI 1,6 starts, then cuts out after 2-3 seconds.

Was the egr reset after refitting? Your need to as by what called by a Diagnostic machine teach or learn the ear valve . Someone will correct me as I do get muddled , but also removing the egr did you take note of how the valve was ? Closed ? Did it go back the correct way, maybe there could be a partial carbon blockage further back that's moved forwards & is now sitting in the egr itself. Make sure you haven't disturbed any fuel leak over pipes which could now be pulling air in then shutting the engine off.
Husky. Thinking outside of the box is better than sitting in a dark one.

If you mean to reset the fault codes, then yes. I suspect however I might have assembled the EGR in the wrong mode. I will try to reassemble it today. I get the fault codes P1351, P1445 and P0405.

I disassembled the top of the EGR, the control unit part, and reattached it correctly, and bled the fuel line again. It did the trick and it is now running smoothly with no fault codes showing. Thanks for the suggestions!
