Citroen C5X engine oil

Unread post by mickbh »

Hi Guys. Ive owned a Citroen C5x 1.2 since May 2024 its a 2022 model and Im wanting to do an interim oil and filter change. I dont have a handbook to check the recommended grade to use. Searching the internet gives a lot of variables Im hoping I can find the correct information on here.

However, whilst your car is still under warranty I would get a dealer to do it since you may void the warranty and any warranty extensions Citroen may give for common faults. Also if it is a Puretech engine, checks should be made to the timing belt since in the past these have degraded running in the oil. If you do not know your engine type its letters are in part of the VIN.

When the car was new, normally a service schedule sheet is given with the documents, if you do not have this any Citroen dealer will provide it and it includes the recommended oil spec. These specs sometimes change so getting an up to date schedule is important.
