Sorry.... its a 2.5D swb, yr2001, the only light that stays on is the orange key shaped warning lamp on dash, (it goes out when working ok)
When lit engine turns but wont start, ive tried every key that i have including the master and i have checked for loose wires or bad earth.
The anntena and yellow box are intact and in good condition.
IF you need more i will try to tell you, thanks; vanmanic

Try / borrow a different anntena, Scrap yard or £28 ish new from the dealer.
I know some Citroens & Peugeots have this exact problem with the anntena as they get older, But those where all bulit in 1998 & the part was upgraded around October / November 1998.

Is the anntena not unique to the key and the yellow box?

Nope, Its just an anntena that plugs in, The imobiliser control box is well hidden away.
Yellow box?? any stickers or id markings on it??
Got a digital camera or camera phone because a picture of the yellow box might help.

No picture but i will try to describe it!!
it is close to the ignition and the anntena plugs into it, there is a small board inside the box about 2 inches Sq.
the wires that go in (or out?) are red, black, blue&red, yellow, blue&green, blue&white.
numbers are 46417024 198 L c150 and a bar code 46417024041
thanks again for your time on this, hope that describes it enough.

Well that yellow box has me stumped now.
All I can suggest is you try the forum here at
http://www.carmechanicsmag.co.uk/
There are a few Peugeot & Citroen technicians on there & a lot of very clued up diagnostic technicians too.

the yellow box is the imobiliser control unit and its coded to the module in the injection pump so it is'nt interchangeable from another van.as said above the anntena can be swapped from another van no prblem as it isnt coded.
when the fault occurs try wiggling the plug on the yellow box & see if it starts,if that doesent help i would suspect the antenna being faulty.

where exactly is the bad connection ? BTW no point in blaming the components that citroen made because the imobiliser on a Relay van is a FIAT system and its all fiat components [:p]

Hi wheeler, Citroen reckon its the modu on the fuel pump thats faulty, they said thats why when it gets hot the problem starts.
(im still not convinced)
To get to the part in question they say its a 5 or 6 hour job which as you know at citroen rates bloody expensive, they say new cambelt @ £30.00 which needs doing soon anyway and the mod\pump @ £170.00 LOL
Typical italian give up at the first sign of trouble. (NO OFFENCE INTENDED)
