3008 Ng4 wipcom system crashing?

Unread post by Phil_loves_it »

Hello French Car forum,

I'm hoping that you guys are able to help with an issue with my 2011 Peugeot 3008 exclusive entertainment system.

After extensive searching, I've tried all the advise which I can find on existing threads - but it seems that I'm having an issue when trying to install the Firmware updates which I have found.

My version is currently version R26B, and to my knowledge the most up to date version is 42b?

I've gotten as far as transferring a "so called" 42b version onto an SD card and accepting the prompt to install new version on the systems start up.

The Screen goes blank and around 2 minutes later, I get the error code 0x3000 and a message in French.

The system is then in French language once it reboots?

Is there anyone here that can help with where to go from here?

Kindest regards

Phil

1) You should use a USB to update the firmware, not the SD card.
2) Extract the contents of the latest firmware only to the USB and make sure the USB is formatted to FAT32.
3) It is common to get this error on firmware update. Just restart the update procedure again and make sure the engine is running at all times and that you do not play with any switches or controls during the update.

Hi Marc,

After following your points exactly, I'm still getting the same error message - 0x3000.

Could this be due to a bad update version?

Do you have a copy which I could try please?
