Hi everyone,
I own a 2016 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2.0 blueHDI 150 FL, (with automatic gearbox) equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Speed Limiter (with full stop function). However, it doesn't have the Emergency Collision Braking System.
Since my car already has ACC with Stop it seems like it has most of the hardware required for the Emergency Collision Braking System (like the radar and front camera).
My question is: Is it possible to retrofit the Emergency Collision Braking System on my C4 Grand Picasso? Has anyone tried this before?
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Car description from VIN decoder:
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND SPEED LIMITER
WITHOUT EMERGENCY COLLISION BRAKING SYSTEM
VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thanks!
Lukasz

I suspect it's more than the sum of these components you mention. The ESP system, the telematics software, BSI, engine ECU software all have to support this feature for it to work. In addition there are different versions of the camera and the ARTIV radar system fitted for the emergency collision system, so you may not have the correct versions fitted.
This is a question for your dealer as we can't offer advice concerning configuration of non-factory-fitted safety systems for obvious reasons.
