Hi all,
Anyone have any experience with clutch replacements on these cars, specifically the ESG semi auto ones!
Just looking for a better understanding of what is involved in replacement. I thought it would be replace the clutch and be done with it, but I hear it may be a lot more involved?
Any info would be appreciated.
TIA.

You need a scan tool to depressue the actuator, then repressurise it / bleed the clutch / reprogram the box gate afterwards.

Thanks from me too Richard, having just diagnosed a C4P with a duff clutch... I can pass this on to the owner...RichardW wrote: 12 Dec 2024, 16:01 You need a scan tool to depressue the actuator, then repressurise it / bleed the clutch / reprogram the box gate afterwards.

You need to make sure you get the correct EGS clutch as well - I understand it's a bit thicker than the std manual one, and the manual one may refuse to program the clutch biting point. An external power supply is also required whilst doing the operation.
