Sherpa Tensing.
Over the weekend a team of scaffolders set up on the house just away to the right front of my house, this morning this chap arrived at 8am and by 10.30 had carried up and installed from scratch, by himself 13 solar panels.

Confused, 13?
Two rows of 6½? Both rows look the same length!

Re: Sherpa Tensing.
He made good use of the available area. Lots around here could be far better in that respect.
There have been some around here having netting fitter around them to keep pigeons out. I cleaned the guttering for a bloke over the road, mare grass than in my lawn, being fertilised with pigeon crap, they were keeping his young daughter awake too.
I am told that there are pigeons under mine, never hear them and the guttering is clear there, different at the front, no solar panels but overhanging trees. Which are scheduled to be removed next year.

Re: Sherpa Tensing.
You might like to contrast that with a roofing company who were fined at court last week for somewhat questionable practices
"A roofing firm has been fined and its director handed a suspended prison sentence after workers' lives were put at risk during a Surrey roof renovation.
Workers were seen operating without any scaffolding or edge protection on the roof of a house on Flint Hill, Dorking, according to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
A HSE spokesperson said workers were put at risk of falling from height and there were also no measures, such as harnesses, to mitigate a fall.
They added: "Workers were also observed using the lights from their phones and torches while working on the property at night."

Had some more 'electric' news this morning when the dustcart came round, a new electric one silently glided in and out of the close, all I could hear was the sound of the wheelie bins being shuffled around..

The people who hire them are not without fault. They do it cheaper because of no scaffolding.bobins wrote: 12 Dec 2024, 17:07 You might like to contrast that with a roofing company who were fined at court last week for somewhat questionable practices![]()

That's quick work Eric
A bit like the one person who installed my carport in a remarkably short time - and did a good job too...
Our dustcarts allegedly run on poo...
Yes, scaffolding is very expensive. Half the cost of having my gutters, barge boards and soffits done last year... At least it was a one-off cost...
