Citroen C5 coolant temperature explained

Unread post by Neodim »

Hello , i dont know if the coolant temperature is low or not , It only shows 5 - 6 bars even after 1-2 hours of driving. Does every bar corresponds to 10 degrees? I cant find the exact temperature levels in the manual

Think the dash indicators are too diffuse to give you anything to go on.
In all my cars i've just fitted an OBD display which shows the exact speed/RPM/engine temp/battery voltage.
Smaller ones are fairly inexpensive but gives you correct info straight from the ECU:

Thinking of the same Bluetooth OBD with a phone app Carscanner Pro, with concerns about oil and coolant temps being affected by water pump failure, which remain, undetected by current system, leading to cylinder head failures on DW10 FUD vans
