HELP! B2EB0 Additive Tank Empty Permanent Fault Won't Reset

Unread post by 91dm »

Hello,

Hopefully someone can help me with this fault before I lose all hope:

B2EB0 7B Fuel Additive Tank - Permanent - Tank Empty

Car is a 2021 Peugeot Expert 2.0 HDi

I'm using Diagbox 9.129, 9.68 and 9.91 on VM.

I've done the usual Repair>Refilling>Additive which I can see on the standard parameters has worked and shows additive volumne 1.39L however on the additive ECU the volume shows only 3% and will not reset?

Am I missing something obvious here?

Any help much appreciated, thanks!

Have you done it from within the additive ECU as well? Usually you have to do it in both places, and then delete the fault code.

The only 'repair' function is replace additive pump, there's no refill option in the additive ecu. I tried this anyway thinking it may reset it but didn't make any difference.

Recently i filled up the additive tank and then i primed up with additive the pump hose which took about 5 min. under ECU menu through Diagbox 9.186 VMWARE. Then i did a reset .Maybe it needs something like that.

Finally got this fixed!

You need online access to reset the additive ecu volume / replacement, none of the VM versions would work on this year of Expert.

After trying two different 'good' additive tanks the fault still wouldn't clear even though it passed the pump test and you could hear the pump priming and clicking.

A new tank unit was fitted and the fault clear straight away and so far hasn't returned. New pump was around £200 at Peugeot with £100 surcharge for the old unit to be returned.

Hopefully this helps someone else again.
