304 seat back adjusters

Hi guys,

I have some new seat covers to fit to our 304 cabrio, but cannot see how to remove the backrest adjusting knob. There's a big chrome insert in the knurled knob, which I would expect to just pop out access to a nut or something - but it doesn't ! Anyone know how to remove this, as I don't want to risk damage? May well be the same on other models.

I have a feeling it’s “stuck on”, and will pull off. Trouble is you may need hands like a JCB and arms like Mike Tyson.
