Since the beginning of November my car won't always start when cold (4 times). It is not the battery. Battery was changed within the last 12 months with a agm battery, unlikely alternator as the car doesn't need to be jumped started or battery to be charged to resolve the issue.
At first we thought it could be an earth fault but we ruled that out. We had it on a diagnostic machine which lit up like a christmas tree with 30 some intermittent faults that I can't say ring true with the cars behaviour (rain sensor, auto lights sensor, stop/start to name some.) Anyhow nothing flagged up related to the car starting. Took it to a garage but as always with an intermittent fault nothing was found.
When trying to start the engine it clicks but doesn't try to fire up the engine at first. Sometimes you have to do a bsi reset to get it to play ball where it will take a few goes before firing into life.
Everything will be fine for a week or so before it does it again. It always does it at the most inconvenient of times of course. I think through research it may be the bpga unit that is beginning to fail, which would explain the 'phantom' faults as well. Would anyone be able to offer advise as to wether I may be on the right track and if so what part number is correct for my vehicle
I have popped on 2 links to videos with the sound it makes at first and then a second showing how it changes once it starts to think about coming back to life.
Any help greatly appreciated

These often show a lot of faults when scanned. Generally the BPGA fault results in a no response situation (and being 2018 yours probably doesn't have the troublesome one anyway). Your 2 videos appear to be the same.... What is the red wire coming from the fuse box? My guess would be this is an old school problem - either a bad starter or bad earth from the engine. You need to check if the starter is getting power when it's playing up (easier said than done....!). Interestingly there was an almost identical post on FB yesterday - I thought this was the same car, but that one is silver and yours is red! Perhaps a new emerging common fault on later cars.
