HDi creaking noise stationary under revs

I currently can't drive my 1.6HDi due to clutch failure.
However I've been running the engine in neutral just to try and give it 'practice', but I hear an unattractive creaking noise that feels like it's propagating through the car body a bit
The engine itself is in good condition and idles and revs cleanly, when I could drive the car it was operating quietly at all times.
I thought about engine mounts but I also thought that these would make for more sound overall, not just when the engine is revved from idle

Maybe it is the clutch/flywheel.
