Thank you for the link, Bernie. I too can, and have, trawled Autotrader. Perhaps I should have been more specific.
You will have noticed that the car at this site is overpriced, my aim is to buy one at a reasonable price. Not cheap; reasonable. Thank you again.

Silly question but have you tried negotiating the price down ?
If you could get it for 5k and keep it 5 years (which should be feasable as the car is only 4 yrs old now) then your depreciation will be 1k per year (less if the car is still a runner). That is the figure that I personally feel comfortable with.
May be worth reconsidering.
