2004 Xsara Picasso Petrol Auto - Gearbox Broken

Hi, I have a 2004 Xsara Picasso 2.0 Petrol Auto. I can only get the car to move in Reverse, or in gears 3 and 4 when using the manual select mode.

I have been told this requires a new/exchange box.

Does anyone know if this is likely to be the case.

If this is the case, Then I will be advertising it for sale.

Hard to say without a proper diagnostic to be honest, but it is approaching over 20 years old, so maybe some of the clutch packs are toast / or the solenoids.

Yes, they did say clutch packs. It is annoying as we have just had 4 new tyres and a new n/s headlamp unit fitted, plus a major service 2 moths ago.

Ok, after a few other posts on various Citroen forums, I have decid to sell my Picaso.

No problem, best of luck - annoying and happened to me on a C5 MK I - meticulously serviced by Citroen, but despite that, one day the front right wheel nearly came off! - Collapsed - driveshaft went, just after a major service - can't see why they never picked that up - but I had put the miles on and there was little warning to be fair. Called it a day with the other damage caused.
