A new one on me.

Unread post by Gibbo2286 »

Took the Zoe in for its scheduled service yesterday, I've never seen inside the dealer's workshop, it's a sit in the waiting room and drink coffee place, thought it would be nice to get in there and have a walk round under the car but couldn't be bothered................got this in an email today.

Our Lincoln Pentagon dealer (Peugeot, Citroen, Vauxhall and others) has been doing these videos for a few years now. They do have a window into the Peugeot workshop from the showroom so you can have a look but access to the workshop is not normally allowed.

Good to see you're out and about further afield Eric and therefore improving all the time. Perhaps you should make a video of your adventures? :-D

Not very exciting Mick too damned cold to get out much. :) Next longish trip is to the Gloucester Royal Hospital for an MRI scan next Tuesday. :(

That's a good thing to do, at least you know it's all been done Eric :) I had a little video after my Picasso had a service with Stellantis to show me what they (wrongly) thought was a problem with the AdBlue system.

Great to see you out and about and all best for the MRI :) Once when I was in one it was horrendous. I had to listen to Jeremy bloody Vine on Radio 2 whilst the MRI did its things...

A few day later they explained the nature of the brain damage they found... I blame it all on being forced to listen to Jeremy Vine whilst they scanned me

I've been MRI'd since - after my neck breakage and I was scanned in another machine that sort of orbited around me and made the most amazing set of almost musical sounds whilst it did its thing... I enjoyed that one :D

Only a tiny bit related - Mrs Bobins used to work for a company that made the magnets for the MRI machines. They had to be careful testing them at the factory as they'd be known to pull manhole covers out and fling them across the workshop

I've had a few MRIs and CT scans but fortunately no radio 2, or anything other than the sound of the machine.
Not for any illness, just data gathering for the UK BioBank.

I think I would have walked out if subject to Jermy Vine,

It's a good job they don't play Jeremy Vine whilst doing blood pressure checks

Was Jeremy Vine responsible for The Grapes of Wrath? :-D

On an MRI scan a few years ago I was told that I could bring a CD in to be played over the headphones, On a more recent scan I wasn't given that option but at least the radio station (Smooth FM) wasn't to onerous.

Just looked up their play list.....that is terrifyingly middle of the road.....and it is not safe being in the middle of the road as we all know !

Just the thought of being trapped in a metal tube being forced to listen to Celine Dion gives me palpitations :)

In the olden days they would have strapped you to a chair, shone a light in your face, and told you : "We have ways of making you talk." Looks like they've found a new way of cracking people ! 8-[

It was the least, worst option as they couldn't provide Radio Caroline, Planet Rock or Classic Rock!

I have had two Volvos recently. I 'owned' the first one for less than a month (and then I took it back and got my money back, but that is a different story), but it had a recall against it. As it needed a service I got Volvo to do this as well. The workshop had space to easily work on 6 vehicles, and each workspace had fully equipped benches and exhaust extraction systems (and was more like a laboratory then a garage). I was also texted a link that had a video of the safety checks being carried out.
