Over-consumption on USB port

Unread post by bulkier »

Hello,
I try to use USB port on RT6. When I put any USB 3.0 memory stick in USB port I got alert message: "Over-consumption on USB port"
IMG_4482 Large.jpeg
after few seconds I got:
IMG_4481 Large.jpeg
and then again "Over-consumption on USB port" and these two messages goes in loop until I pull out USB memory stick.

I try one USB 2.0 memory stick (I have only one 2.0) and this 2.0 does not invoke this "Over-consumption on USB port" alert but it wont show as Source in Music menu (USB selection is grey out).

Can anyone help?

OK, this is the answer:

USB cable that I order and received from AliExpress was assembled in wrong PIN order!!!

Chines reverse GND, Tx -/+, 5V wires!!

I fix it and now everything works!

Say no more....... cheap Chinese rubbish - these are causes of most of these errors and you risk blowing the unit if you connect these dangerous cables.
Cheap for a reason. Always use genuine cables which have build in protection.
