I am hoping for some guiding advise to get the electrics in my car back on track.
History.
I got the car after the previous owner gave up, many issues I guess, but the key one, the engine "blew up"
I have had a new (well second hand..) engine installed.
I believe all original computers on board (the engine ecu came with the replacement motor, but still using the original ECU)
Some wires were damaged in the install of the engine, at rear of the engine, causing False DPF warnings, but now repaired.
The car is drivable, but lots of little issues, eg no cruise control, can reprogram injectors....
The key problem I am trying to fix for the moment is get back in communication with the ESP computer, the report is showing "no dialog"
I have had an auto electrician track the can wires etc, and all seem to be functional (not the Citroen bad wire issue..), both conductivity and the expect 2v.
There are errors, but once I can get into the ESP computer, I think a lot of these can be resolved and or point me in the right direction.
I think the ESP is working and functional. I took the car our to a paddock, heavy breaking etc, and the ABS seemed to kick in.
Googling about, am am wondering if I have a bad BSI that needs to be re-flashed, or replaced???
I would be grateful for any suggestions.
