Despite c265k on the clock the engine purrs and has never been any problem, passed emission tests every MOT, if I had the space to keep it I would and think of a use for the engine, I never have to add oil between services.
Original clutch was changed at 242k and in the last two years or so has had new brake pads, calipers and discs, the ABS pump was reconditioned last December and the back and mid sections of exhaust were replaced under six months ago (back box popped in the south of France in May but we made it home if a little noisily!). Two decent Michelin Crossclimate on the rear.
Rust of course all hidden under the plastic covers, jacking point collapsing revealed all.
MOT expires first week of January 2025 and I will be using the car until after Christmas so if anyone is interested it can be collected/delivered in the New Year.
I bought it at four years old and we have been all over western Europe and the UK, longest trip was to Portugal, 1400 miles door to door, just after the clock had passed 200k.
I must confess to one fault, the boot microswitch has gone again...
Very sad to see her go but I am hoping someone will be interested in the whole vehicle for spares.
