Hi all, I have DS4 2012 e hdi 1.6, and I want to change my gearbox oil. So can you tell me what type of oil should i use? And is it smart to change the oil?
Thanks.

Re: EAT8 Gearbox Oil
Depends on the mileage.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Re: Manual Gearbox Oil
I've moved this into a separate thread as it is not relevant to Automatic gearboxes...Matrix wrote: 16 Nov 2024, 16:17 Hi all, I have DS4 2012 e hdi 1.6, and I want to change my gearbox oil. So can you tell me what type of oil should i use? And is it smart to change the oil?

You require SAE 75W80 oil. but if you require the exact specification of the oil used by DS, then this will depend on your build date as they changed from Total to Mobil on vehicles built between 01/01/2012 and 31/05/2015 as these gearboxes had a different specification of oil. If you are not sure, provide the VIN. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.
Mileage isn't really relevant as officially these gearboxes are sealed for life, however if you are wanting to change your oil, you must make sure you refill with the correct amount and do not overfill it.
