I have a DS3 with a blown head gasket, it also needs a timing belt change, potentially other problems such as worn rings.
The current engine is a Puretech 1.2 110 EB2DT.
I have found a very low mileage (<3000 miles) Puretech 1.2 100 EB2ADTD from a wrecked Peugeot 2008.
Does anyone know if a straight swap is possible or what other changes may be necessary?

Re: Engine compatibility
Hello. As far as I know The EB2DT is used in the Citroën C3 mk3, Vauxhall Combo, Citroën C4 Cactus, and Vauxhall Crossland X, while the EB2ADTD is used in the Peugeot 208 II, Vauxhall Corsa F, Jeep Avenger, and Citroën C4 mk3. It might be a problem to do a straight swap (Different hanging points, or even shape - gearbox side or alternator, not mention different injectors etc) I would treat this engine as a donor for basic parts (pistons, cams, etc - further checking for parts number needed) and would go from Wet Belt to a chain conversion kit.

Re: Engine compatibility
Biggest problem except those the other member mentioned, will be with ECU which will not understand a thing. Don't know if the ECU both cars are interchangeable and share same electrical circuit and many other things that are required such as sensors depending the edition.Even the shape of engine or position of exhaust maybe a problem. To me, sounds like trouble and very difficult to work right. It's doable but it is not worth the effort and money as it has to do with specialists to do remapping, programming if you change ECU e.t.c. Even with MOT you will have problems with emissions class or whatever.Old days you could swap engines even from other brands completely different class with no problem just with little modifications.Today is a big no.

Re: Engine compatibility
Thanks for the replies guys, but all you've really told me is that you have no more idea than I do. For instance, I know that dimensionally both engines are identical and will fit in the same space as long as the engine mounts from the receiving vehicle are used.
No disrespect, but I was looking for definitive answers not guesses that I can make myself.
