Unread post by Patryk »

Hello, could someone write what software versions are in the Citroen C5X and possibly what the updates brought?

PSA don't currently provide this information.

Your updates are delivered OTA if required and installed automatically.

I have a 2022 c5x stuck on software 1.19.43.8. It was in service for a few weeks and they didn't update it. Hello Citroen doesn't work. Can you help? Nothing can be found out.

Unfortunately it's an issue with the IVI system. Crappy firmware updates that can cause problems. If the vehicle display and functions are working - DON'T allow it to update if given the choice to accept or not - wait until you are sure the later version works. If you are already on a version that has left the display controls or equipment not working then get it back to the dealer and demand they fix it. Hopefully you may still have warranty.

I've found that the "Hello Citroën" turns off sometimes, not sure if it's when "Hey Google" is triggered or when the system updates.

Go into settings and and check "Hello Citroën" is still enabled.

Patryk, these instruction video come in various languages. There's a lot on YouTube.
In reference to my earlier comment, this is from the instruction manual of the app.

I have a c5x from 08.2022 in the shine pack version, the car's ivi is stuck on software version 1.19.44.8 and hello citroen in the Polish language version does not work, I returned it to the service as you wrote, it was with them for five weeks and they returned it unrepaired and downgraded the software version to 1.19.43.8, could you explain to me what's going on here? Has the FM radio been interrupted from the very beginning or is this a symptom of a damaged bsrf? No one wants to say anything and no one wants to fix it. I've sat in cars from 2023 and there these functions work without a problem. The service says that Citroen does not guarantee any other language than English, the menu and clocks are in Polish.

So my advice is if your car is under warranty or was under warranty at the time of the complaint and has still not been fixed - you really MUST take it back and insist they fix it. Contact Citroen Head Office in your country and complain. That's the only way to get it sorted out.

@patryk - is your SOS light always red while driving? (attached) If so, it seems the BSFR module needs replacement.

Hello,
My Citroen C5 X 1.6 180 from March 2023 is also stuck on version NHW.1.19.43.8, making it impossible to update the system (even though I connected my car to Wi-Fi, and GPS map updates are running smoothly).

FYI, it seems the latest version is NHW.1.20.93.7.

I've contacted Citroen support twice, and each time they stupidly tell me that it will update automatically when there's a new update.

@Patryk:
What's the situation today?

Thanks

Fred

They’re not being truthful. While it's technically correct that the update will occur once it's available, the BSFR module (with the antenna) must be functioning properly to connect to the server and detect the update. If the SOS button has a red light that stays on continuously, the update will not take place. I have a service appointment scheduled for Friday.

I went to the dealer service this morning. They said it's the SOS module backup battery, and they've ordered a replacement. I doubt that will solve the problem, but it might. If not, I'll direct them toward replacing the BSFR module, although they haven't seen any errors related to it.
