The old Xsara 2.0HDi 8V now has 211k miles on the clock and increasingly an issue when driving on light to mid throttle is a juddering/surging as if one was rapidly and repeatedly going on and off the gas.
I presume this will be some part of the injection system which is worn due to the high mileage but I wonder if anyone else has had similar and can suggest what to investigate/whether it might be a fairly straightforward fix or not/likely cost - which would make me consider “is it worthwhile?”
Thanks
Peter

Re: 2.0HDi juddering
I have a c4 cactus 1.6 etg hdi
Last year I had problems with the car juddering while driving first on the motorway it would start juddering under acceleration as though it was dirty fuel I originally thought the brakes were binding but weren’t
It turns out it was a faulty brake pedal censor switch showing the car was braking while accelerating once that was changed the fault was rectified.
4 months later it happened again on testing it showed the switch was faulty once changed I have had no problems
It’s worth a look to see if changing it will work for you
And upgraded switch cost me £ 27 .00 but was worth it
Take care

Re: 2.0HDi juddering
Now that’s interesting! Not sure how much this age of car has in the way of sensors but certainly something I will check, thanks.
