hi all
ive been given the job to service my auntie's car.
its a 1996 Preg and got about 15k genuine miles on it (she had from new).
what should i includein the service??
i was just gonna do oil, oil filter, air filter, plugs?
are there any other things i should check?

You've not said what engine it's got - if it's on the original cambelt...
Then there's the brakes, the rear drums might be nasty and neglected with leaky brake cylinders. The brake fluid might be original, so you'd be wise to change that.
Brake pipes may be corroded, then there's the steering and suspension to check for play and perished bushes etc.
The list grows and grows, so if auntie's got any service history I'd have a look to see what's been done in the past.
Otherwise, you'd better give it the full works or she might be blaming you if something goes wrong!
Families eh? Who'd 'ave 'em.

Ralph is spot on. Ignore the mileage, there's a good chance that a lot of the components are 8 years old.
Brakes, brake fluid, coolant, rubber belts, plug leads, dizzy cap, rotor, gearbox oil level, rear tyes (for cracking), and underside rust would be good places to start, if you're meant to be doing the job properly.
If she just wants a cheap oil change, send her to National Tyres for a £10 oil and filter change. Then when the car goes wrong it's not your problem.
