DS 5 don't start also with new battery /URGENT.... ;-(((

Hello ,
I own a CITROËN DS5 Hatchback 2.0 HDi 165 Diesel 2012 and now it want not to start anymore.
I changed battery with new one and the issue is still present. Then I also checked the old one battery and it was still good too...
When you try to start engine you can hear only the noise like tic, tic, tic but nothing happens and many errors arises .
It sounds like the metallic noise of the motor engaging but without activation.
The brake pedal remains rigid and blocked and does not modulate. Obviously, nothing starts and it remains like this
Also my mechanic has no easy answer to this fault.
Car worked well and it was parked for a week without any starting trial . It was a wet and rainy week but nothing so exceptional.
Have you got please a suggestion to fix it. I'm really worried and I need to use the car asap too.

Starter Motor? If you are hearing a click click noise then the starter motor may have failed. You may be able to test this by carefully knocking the sides of the starter motor with a hammer several times to loosen the brushes and causing them to fall back. Then try and start the vehicle again. If it starts, then you know it's the starter that has gone.

Usually this refers to starter brushes or main or starter relay and fuses.Before replacing battery is good practice to use auxiliary cables to confirm that is bad, because there are many other things that can go wrong.Also in other car that i have, starter cable connection was oxidized by salt in highway to clean from snow. Definitely sounds like the starter motor, give it a spank with a broom handle whilst someone is trying to start the car...and don't be gentle!!
