Hi, first post here, hello all....
We have a Citroen DS3 with an amber engine management light on. I have plugged in an OBD2 adapter and this has given me the following confirmed code. There are some others pending.
Confirmed: P0343 [0x0343] Camshaft position (CMP) sensor A, bank 1 - high input.
I have removed both sensors and cleaned them but the fault code remains. I am considering just changing them in case they are faulty but im not sure which one 'A' is? Is it the one at the front or the back.
Does anyone have experience with this, is it likely the code is directing me correctly to change the sensor or could it be a red herring and a different fault all together?
See attachment for code.....
Thanks in advance.

If both sensors are identical, just buy one and then use a volt meter to check the resistance across the sensor pins to see which is the faulty one and replace that (or check them both before buying one to see if they are different). Possibly the sensor A bank 1 is the inlet cam shaft sensor. You could also unplug them separately and see if the fault code changes which might indicate which one may be faulty.
It is a long time ago but I replaced a faulty cam sensor on a 2010 C3 1.4 vti petrol. I did both in case the good one was also on its way out. Note the sensors from Citroen included the seals so I did not need to buy the seals separately.
