Hi all, I am hoping to replace the tpms valves on the C5 and am wondering about reprogramming them. I've read that they can be done using Diagbox although I only have a Lexia3 with cloned operating system that does recognise the tpms but I don't think there is any option to program valves.
Wondering if there might be someone in the Glasgow area who has Diagbox and knows how to reprogram this.
Is it best to just try and get a diagnostic garage to do the job? I'm likely to avoid main dealers due to the perceived cost.
Any help welcomed!

Re: Reprogram of new tyre pressure monitors C5x7
There are 2 separate procedures to this Graeme:
1) Is using an 'Exciter' tool to activate the new TPMS sensor. This only has to be done once to enable the sensor and activate the battery which is usually dormant until this process to save it depleting in storage.
2) Is the actual pairing of the Sensor to the TPMS ECU and these usually have to be done as a set, or it can throw one or more out. I have had to have mine paired several times when one started acting up (all sensors were replaced under warranty, so I knew it wasn't the sensor at fault when I was getting a warning on one of them all the time). After having the one with the issue paired - after driving off it happened again and again, so on the third time the technician realised he had to pair the lot again and that cured the problem.
This second bit can be done with Diagbox, but the first part requires a tool and is usually used in conjunction with Diagbox to both activate and pair the sensors.

Thanks Marc, I might have to go to a garage then.
