Particle Filter Additive Low Peugeot 207 1.6 Diesel, 2011

Unread post by kajw1982 »

After refuelling today my car displayed the error "Particle filter additive level too low: Repair needed"

From a brief read up, it seems I shouldn't ignore this.

Any idea what additive I need? Is this a DIY job or do I need to get it in the garage? If so what kind of cost should I expect? I've read the additive can be expensive.

VIN: VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Not sure if it's important but I'm also getting ABS error whenever turn hard lock right. I think it's maybe a wiring issue as it's intermittent.

Thank you, Kerry

You need Powerflex additive specifically - which in your case is a flexible pouch, not a reservoir system.

Here's an example - but you must reset the additive counter using a professional level diagnostic tool which is essential. The housing is secured to the sode of the the rear exhaust section behind some heat shielding. The old pouch needs disposing of and replacing with the ne wone carefully, then the ECU needs resetting to inform it that it has been replaced.

... or take it to the dealer to do.
