Hi All
I have a 2009 207cc that I bought knowing there was a roof fault. I've been reading through a few threads on here and other forums which have been pretty helpful.
I've used Diagbox to narrow the issue down
Code is C882 - Roof boot open switch - Open circuit
Confirmed on live data that "Roof box open switch" shows as faulty. The info box states "Switch located in the boot and close to the left-hand roof box ram."
Is anyone able to confirm the actual location of the switch? I'm assuming it is 6216 from the wiring diagram in this post: viewtopic.php?t=75162
Thanks

Re: 207CC Roof Microswitch Locations
Sorry I can't immediately help with the location of the switch, but bear in mind that it is not unusual for the wires to fail at the points where they flex when the roof is opening.

Re: 207CC Roof Microswitch Locations
xantia_v6 - spot on
So I checked the switch on the boot lid as I had suspected - it is located next to the ram on the left side of the lid standing behind the car - behind the carpet on the boot lid: Checked continuity through the switch - all fine
Checked continuity between the left wire on this plug, and the other end of the loom on the connector with the red clamp (just behind the carpet under the boot hinge - all good Checked the right hand wire - all bad.
So now I know there is a break in that wire, between the switch connector and the big connector, but I don't know which wire it is at the big connector end, because of course they are all black.
To save me unsheathing them all (from 15yr old very sticky black tape) does anybody happen to have have a wiring diagram which shows which pin the wires from that switch go to on the big connector?
Also, big warning - don't be thick and leave the big connector disconnected and shut the boot lid, because otherwise its 1.5hrs with a knife and a broom stick to get it back open

Re: 207CC roof problem
Based on the wiring diagram in the linked post, it is wire 683 which (ignoring the intervening connector) appears to go to pin 6 on the roof control ECU. There will be a harness diagram showing the pinning of the connector, but I don't currently have access to it.
You should find the number 683 printed on the insulation of the wire every few inches.

Re: 207CC Roof Won't Open - Which Wire
So I found the correct wire, had to trace it back from the roof ecu. It was in pin six of that connector, but I couldn't see a 683 printed on it - just some letters and 1776.
Also on the boot harness side, where all wires are black, none of them are printed on.
Anyway, traced it back to the connector, found the correct wire, pulled slightly and it came out
Broken where the loom bends round under the hinge. Soldered it back together, tied it all back up and the roof works

Re: 207CC Roof Won't Open - Which Wire
This problem has just appeared on my 207cc Typical ! I replaced the window mechanism in the door all working fine then car was stood for a month then The problem, Roof down switch activated All windows drop ok Then boot opens about 10 inch then stops working with fault message on dash, if you switch down the boot goes down then quickly up it opens ok but roof does not actuate.
Sounds like the same fault ie broken wire or bad connection. I also removed the trim to access the two connections at roof panel for the closing clamps, removed one at a time and tried to actuate the roof. Instant fault code on both so this proves they work.
