Mégane v1 heater blower

I have a 2016 Mégane 1V . Recently the heater does not seem to blow hot or cold air. I have changed the cabin filter although It was not very dirty, but no difference. If I switch from auto to using the sliding fan control I can hear the blower speeding up but still not much air. Could there be a blockage somewhere? Thank you.
