After much head scratching and internet perusing I am hoping that the knowledgeable folk on this forum may be able to assist.P11A9
I recently replaced the engine on my 308 (8FR engine) due to the original having a cracked block.
At the same time I renewed the timing chain (using all timing tools), changed the oil (5w 30) and filter and using Topdon Smartdiag mini cleared all fault codes.
Now, the car starts on the button (when cold) but is very lumpy idle until warm.
Codes P000A - P11A9 & P11A8 are thrown up, although frequently, P000B appears as well.
The codes always clear and tickover is usually fine when warm. However, sometimes when coming to a stop, idle speed again is erratic, almost stalling.
I've carried out all checks on the dephaser control valves (supply voltage is 3.4v), resistance of solenoids are within limits and solenoid valves operate when 12v is supplied.
I have replaced them with the valves from the original engine but fault remains.
Basically, what I would like is to know is what parameters feed the ECU as I believe it is getting erroneous information leading to it supplying spurious signals at the control valves.
BTW, I have also replaced all spark plugs, coils, camshaft position sensors from the original engine but fault still remains.
Should I be putting the car to main dealer for any ECU reprogramming following engine swap?
