Citroen C4 Grand Picasso MK2 2017: Automatically Release Handbrake?

Unread post by Chendy »

Hello

I've recently bought a 2017 Grand Picasso MK2 manual .

I will be sharing this car so wondered if it was possible to prevent potential damage to the handbrake.

Is it possible that the electronic handbrake could be automatically released if the driver attempts to begin driving, say when in gear and applying gas?

Thanks

That is how the C4 I had on my maintenance fleet worked. As soon as you press the accelerator when in gear the handbrake released. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

It should work like this in any case - but with an automatic gearbox, it should be in D, M or R.
