Boxer gearbox oil capacity

Hi all,

Didnt know where to open this, hope its in the right place! Looking for info on my gearbox and oil capacity

Would it be possible to check the gearbox code in my 2015 Boxer based on the VIN VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

I believe its a 20gp17, but am I correct in saying there are 2 variants? One requiring 2.4 litres, the other 2.8?

BVM6 MLGUC14 (MLGU6 MANUAL GEARBOX)

Your gearbox should be marked with either GP15 or GP26.

Always measure and replace with the same amount of oil removed, but if draining and refilling or overhauling, see below:

Quantity of oil to be replaced:
After draining: 2,9 litres
After overhaul: 3,2 litres

Recommended Oils:
ESSO 75w80 EZL 848
TOTAL 75w80 H 6965
