Hi Jigzy, I personally can't help you with this, sorry as this is more of a Ford / Fiat thing. All I know is that the Proxy alignment is supposed to write the BSI configuration to any new ECUs detected (which may be included in any new equipment like your instrument panel).

From what I can remember though, this type of message will likely appear because the existing instrument panel is likely still configured in the BSI and if you are trying to install a different version or model with different features, you are likely to get this message.

So you can either try going into the BSI first and checking the original type of instrument panel installed / configuration, against the replacement unit. I suspect they need to match exactly for a straight swap for the Proxy alignment to work. At present it would seem it won't accept the new unit as it is different from the one you have programmed in.

Either that or make a note of the exact instrument panel that is recorded in the BSI (so you know the correct one in case you need to add it back in later), then change it for the one you are installing if a different version. Then after you exit, you can try another alignment.

I hope that makes sense.... :?

I think if you run a Global Diagnostic, the ECU should be one of those returned in the ECU list after. When you locate it, (look at the icons for a clue) selecting it and confirming should open up another screen with the info like type and hardware version for example - but I can't be certain.
