Scuttle panel

Anyone know if the scuttle panel on a 307 was sealed to the windscreen when they were new? Just had my windscreen replaced and fitter assured me that it was not supposed to be sealed.

The air intake cowl is a separate part and not supposed to be sealed - only the windscreen itself is bonded into the surround for a tight seal and isn't supposed to go over anything.

Don't know about the air intake but I was asking about the scuttle panel as since having tyhe windscreen replaced the soundproofing on the engibe-side of the bulkhead is getting damp.
