Hi all,
I need to change my clutch on my 6 speed manual gearbox.
Engine is a 2.0HDI DW10BTED4.
I remember seeing an image of where the bell housing bolts were sited, but now can't find it!
Am I correct in thinking there are 4 bolts (2 on the top side which undo away from engine & 2 on lower side which undo towards engine?!).
Many thanks.

I changed mine few years ago and can remember that there were more than 4 bolts. More like 6 to 8 bolts.

OK I found quite a few more!kantica wrote: 30 Sep 2024, 22:25 I changed mine few years ago and can remember that there were more than 4 bolts. More like 6 to 8 bolts.
I'm stuck on one last bolt which is hidden. I can't physically see it or get a spanner/socket to it. It's the one at the back of the engine in the turbo area.
What's the trick to getting it out? There's a small pipe in the way and I'm having trouble getting that out too.
I'm starting to see why people pull the complete engine/gearbox assembly out together!

There is one in the area above differtial. If you have steel subframe, you will have to remove it to be able to access the bolt.

I think my subframe is Aluminium? Does it make a difference?
Thanks.

As far as I can remember I did not have to remove any pipes, just driveshaft and subframe to be able to access the bolt. I have steel subframe on mine, and it is imposible to see the bolt with subframe in.
