Saxo diesel pump removal/refitting
So im having some problems/leaks with my 1.5D saxo bosch diesel pump and i need to remove it from the engine, apart from removing the pipes and accelerator cable and other stuff i have a question about the timing, i know how to remove/refit the timing belt as ive done it 2 times successfully so far, but i heard that you can install the pump 180 degrees out once and it wont start? Is this true? Or if i mark the position it is when removing and reinstall it should run ok?

Re: Saxo diesel pump removal/refitting
Never worked on a 1.5D but if you mark/scibe the pump position in relation to the pump mount plate all should be good.

Notice the BX is still top the list but sadly gone

Re: Saxo diesel pump removal/refitting
Thankyou
the 1.5D timing belt is abit tricky at first but not difficult just abit of art in adjusting the camshaft and pump pulleys then its all good
