C4 Grand Spacetourer parking sensors issue

Hi,
This is a 2019 model but I've only had it two weeks. This morning the parking sensors have been going funny. Driving up the road the front one would beep occasionally and then when I returned to my home to park it said the sensors had failed and I need a service. I turned off the car and then tried it again and the parking assist is turned off and won't turn on again.

I am in Manchester and it was raining very heavily this morning, could this affect it?

IGNORE THIS!!! There was a small leaf half covering a sensor. I removed it and now working again

Hi.

Make sure that you GENTLY clean the sensors - use nothing abrasive or harsh and treat these very gently or they can be damaged. Oil and muck can affect their performance.

If any one of the sensors fail, the whole system is disabled for safety reasons.

A dealer would be able to diagnose the issue, which could be a specific sensor or the wiring loom (water ingress dripping back into the sensors), or check that you have not spilled anything onto the parking assistance ECU.
