Determining the right PAF Fluid quantity

So I've got the diesel additive warning message on my 2010 peugeot 308 2.0 HDi 163 hp.

I found ample information on how exactly to top up the PAT fluid tank but I stumbled upon quite a few difficulties exploring the diagbox software. I still haven't done anything, I am trying to find out four things:
1. How much fluid do I need
2. What fluid do I need
3. How to reset the counter
4. Should I change the amount of additive pumped into the PAT?

First of all, as far as I could find out, different models have different controllers and different procedures. Turns out I have some options in the motor ECU and some other in the Diesel Additive Pump ECU.

As far as the first question is concerned, on the one hand, the standard parameter measurements in the Diesel Additive Pump ECU tell me that the total capacity of the tank is 1,4 l and I have around 200ml left. So I guess I need to get 1,2l in, right?


Well, I am not so sure, because on the other hand, the ECU Standard parameter measurements are showing something different. 156 ml fluid left and 1160 ml total capacity.. So in that case I need to top up 1l of fluid.
Which one is true? Here is screenshot of all the live data.


Second question: What fluid do I need? It turns out there are supposed to be 4 types in different colors (green, blue, etc.)... But how do I find out which is the right one? Or can I use something like this (s. picture below)? it is supposed to work for all types....


Third, how do I reset the counter? I found something which sounded promising unter "repair" in both the engine management ECU and the additive pump ECU. Should I reset both? Will the counter then get reset?

There is one fourth question: According to the engine ECU, I am getting 45g of fluid pumped into the PAT.


However, the diesel additive pump ECU is showing a table which indicates that my car, having about 210k km, needs 138g of additive... Apologies for the bad quality of the screenshot, but here it is:


However, I have a hard time imagining that I have to reprogram the value every 10k km... What am I missing?

Apologies for the long post. I really didn't want to get overly scientific about this, I'm just trying to figure it out...

A 2010 may have a pouch rather than a refillable tank; post up the VIN (It will auto hide) and we can check, and also confirm the fluid required.

You are confusing the additive in the tank with the additive residue in the DPF. You only need to reset the tank additive, possibly in both the engine ECU and the additive ECU and then delete the fault code in the engine ECU to get the EML to clear. There is no measurement of the fluid, both figures are estimates, they only use about 1l / 100k miles so 1l will most likely last well beyond the remaining life of the car!

Of course I could just remove the plastic cover and check if it is a pouch rather than an tank, but if you could check that along with the fluid type it would be really awesome.

Ok, so you have a reservoir, not a pouch, and you need Powerflex additive specifically.

Thank you very much! I'll order 1l of original Powerflex fluid (it's supposed to be the one with the blue cap).

One last question though: am I supposed to change the quantity of injected additive in the engine management ECU/repair/pack repair/particle emissions filter after sales operation? I checked that I could input a new value but I am very unsure if I am supposed to do that or if it is supposed to be done only in the event of an ecu replacement.

No, that is not for this operation - I think that is only in case the additive system has been replaced and is used to inform the system of the previous amount of additive that has been injected into the system to monitor the DPF blockage of Cerine (element of the additive that can't be burned off at regeneration).

You just need to to concentrate on topping up the additive and resetting the counter to ZERO.
