Hello,
My 2016 ds3’s passenger wing mirror does not fold in when the car is locked. The driver’s side one does but the passenger one doesn’t.
I don’t think I would’ve even known if it had not only been the one side working
I have checked the fuses, I didn’t pull any out but none looked out of the ordinary, however the wing mirror does not close (left hand side one).
The mirror does move when I use the adjuster that is on the drivers door.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Re: DS3 passenger side wing mirror
Check the wiring between the driver's door aperture. There are separate wires for the different functions, so just because the mirror adjustment works, doesn't mean there isn't a break in one of the wires that controls the power folding operation. The weak spot is between the driver's door which is used most often and this controls the signal over to the passenger side mirror to open and close.

Re: DS3 passenger side wing mirror
There is a separate motor in the mirror for folding and two other motors for moving the glass up/down/left/right. It could be the motor for folding that’s faulty.

Re: DS3 passenger side wing mirror
I would add that if the power-folding motor starts to fail, it will generally give an indication of this ages before it stops, like sluggish behaviour and rarely just fail at once, which is why I suspect it is a wiring or connection fault.
