Name That Clip?

Unread post by NotAnInterestingName »

Hello all. I'm celebrating my Berlingo's 10th Birthday, trying to buy it some gifts to hopefully help it survive another 10 years.

The bits of plastic at the bottom corners of the windscreen are pretty brittle and curled up, and have also probably suffered at the hands of a couple of windscreen fitters over the years. Part codes 8251EQ and 8251ER. They're a shocking £70+ each from Citroen, which I was relucantly prepared to pay but they're out of stock with no restock date so can't be ordered. I'd assume that all the scrap parts on ebay are going to be as badly weathered as my old ones so not worth bothering with and they're stupidly expensive anyway.

I found a Turkish ebay seller with an equivalent for about £60 delivered for the pair. New but not original. Ordered them...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375554104930

They've arrived, they look OK but don't come with any clips, and the original ones from the old one are either missing or weak.

The official Citroen diagram doesn't show or list any clips...

Here are some photos of the clips...

They slide onto the trim using the T-shape, then clip into the body using the U-shape.

I can find similar with a circular body on ebay but not identical. There aren't any numbers on it, I've looked all over it with a magnifier.

All help appreciated!

Does anyone know a part code or equivalent? I can measure it if needed.

Have ordered these for the big round holes on each...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183335140835

No idea what the originals were as they were missing but these should be nice and solid and the body hole is 8-9mm.

But I'm struggling with the slot in rectangular ones shown above. Two rectangular and one round one needed per trim.

By the way the Turkish ebay listing for the trims incorrectly shows the newer Berlingo. These are for a previous model B9, as mine is.

This place lists 40 odd pages of them.

Thanks for that. There's a whole painful universe of plastic clips I didn't know existed. After a wade followed by a search for "5mm" (square hole into body size), I found this...

Which seems like it may possibly do the job but is a gamble.

The Honda clips didn't work. Might try some others, or may just make do with the old ones.

Surprised at how many there are, and that these don't seem to have a part code. I'm guessing they would be supplied with the genuine part, which it seems they no longer make.
