adblue turn off experiences

Unread post by GORAX »

Hello everyone,

Since I can't pay for the repair of the AdBlue tank and Nox sensor, I decided to deactivate both. I've had peace for 3 weeks. Does anyone have any experience? Does anyone know the emissions values? How can you keep emissions levels low? Clean DPF more often or use additives?

please don’t ask for feedback on this subject as it’s illegal to disable emissions systems and not supported on this Forum.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

You cannot.....simple (but harsh for you) fact is you will HAVE to reinstate the system.

DPF is not "related" to AdBlue/NOX (Diesel PARTICULATE filter)

In Germany it is a serious offence (when) if you are caught and your car will be taken from you..

I understand the annoyance and I don't enjoy it either. But repairs in Germany are very expensive. It is cheaper abroad, especially in Turkey. I still have until July 2025 to carry out the repairs.

Fault codes and maybe engine power reductions will at some point start to effect the car....the only option is expensive re-mapping of the cars ECU's.

I do not think there will be many "easy" options for that as such alterations are both (normally) illegal to offer/carry out and not something an "average" Citroen owner does.........my bet would be it would cost more than fixing the problems you already have.

Such are the "Costs" of these Systems/Regulations/Clean air you inhale/Living where you do vrs Turkey.
