I'm hoping this question hasn't been asked else where on the forum (I've had a look, but if it has been asked please direct me there)
I have a 2014 Citroen DS5 HDI that started running on 3 cylinders, an OBD tool shows code P0265 which indicates either an issue with the cylinder 2 fuel inject or wiring.
The wiring appears to be in good condition so my initial suspicion is the injector.
However before I go ordering parts or using an independent mechanic do the engine components for this car need to be coded in to work?
Or do they need to be coded in by a Citroen approved service agent?
In case you need it here's the VIN: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] in case it's needed.
Thanks in advance for any help or support
2014 DS5 do replacement components need to be coded in?

Injectors usually need to have their codes or classifications entered into the engine ECU using a professional level diagnostic tool.
You have a Siemens injection system, and the classification is 6 characters. Don't forget For each diesel injector, always replace the seals, the bolt, the fuel injector bracket, the thrust button and the high pressure fuel pipe.
