bad vibrations

bad vibrations

when my xantia reaches approx 63 mph the passenger side front wheel/corner starts vibrating and dos'nt stop until it reaches about 68 mph its totally smooth before and after right up to 100 mph[:)]
any input would be appreciated

Wheel balancing (bad/missing) can in fact do this.

Hi anders,just put new brakes in and as far as i can remember the weights were in place will check again cheers.
anyone got any other ideas?

Get tyres checked for any miss shape'ness. May be slightly oval that kind of thing.

tyres are fairly evenly worn,was more concerned it might be a suspension problem? can this be ruled out by the fact it only occurs at a certain speed

Look for a bulge on tyre wall on inside wall - it happened to me.

I agree with Anders, sounds like you need your wheels balancing again. They vary with road wear, weights come off etc, most likely is you may not have put your wheels back on the same studs. Thats if you had them done on, not off, the car.
