C5 Aircross DPF Question

Unread post by Darko512 »

I recently purchased C5 Aircross 2.0 VIN Number VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. I have a question regarding the DPF regeneration. I have read that after 300-400 km there should be a dashboard sign that the regeneration is needed. I drove so far around 2,000 km of which 1,800 on highways and no such light showing on. Car works normally. With this car should it show on dashboard or computer is automatically doing it and if so what can be the issue?

Don't know where you got that info from but it's not correct. There's no such light. Regeneration is automatic and happens whenever the engine ECU thinks it needs it. Just forget about it. IF the engine ECU has failed multiple times to try and regenerate the filter, it will put a warning up on the screen about risk of clogging. Until then, happy motoring!
