Start -Stop dashboard button missing
Something i noticed on my Citroen c3 (2017) is that its missing a start-stop button on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel. There is a button for the lane assist system, but the button below it is empty. Even though my car has a start - stop system the only way to fiddle with it is through the tablet. And i have seen some Citroen C3 cars have that button, so whats the deal? is this a regional thing not to include the button? btw the car was imported from France.

Not all models have the Stop Start Button fitted. Stop Start on these models is switched on or off via the Touchscreen as you have said, So it's not missing, it was never fitted and not required.

But why not include it when some regional models have it? i dont get it. what reason would they have to not include it?

Re: Start -Stop dashboard button missing
you mean they cheaped out. It IS needed actually. Its much easier to just click a button to turn off the start-stop system than navigating through the tablet every time i start the car.

You totally misunderstand what I'm saying.azalen99 wrote: 09 Sep 2024, 20:19 But why not include it when some regional models have it? i dont get it. what reason would they have to not include it?
Different models have different versions of Stop Start - you have Stop Start, just not the button that is not needed on your version - as it's turned on or off via the touchscreen.
Some models had an energy accumulator and others don't, some have a reversible alternator - others don't, but have reinforced starter. Do you understand now?
Generally models with a touchscreen don't need a physical button - because that's duplication and pointless. Models that don't have a touchscreen need a physical button.

Well our 2015 308 has both a touchscreen and a physical button. I think it's more complex than you say.

But I bet you don't have the function to switch Stop Start off with the touchscreen (SMEG I assume.....).

SMEG+. And that's the point I was trying to make. Just because we have a touchscreen doesn't mean that there's an option somewhere in the menu structure to switch the S&S off.

Oh come on Paul, you know very well what I was referring to, specifically referring to the OP's vehicle that has Touchscreen (NAC / RCC) and why he therefore doesn't have a button. It's one method or the other.
The OP's question has been answered and I'm leaving it there.Stop Start on these models is switched on or off via the Touchscreen

And my point remains the same.

Re: Start -Stop dashboard button missing
Then why is there both a Lane assist physical button and an option to turn it on/off in the tablet? Isnt that redundant as well?GiveMeABreak wrote: 09 Sep 2024, 22:02You totally misunderstand what I'm saying.azalen99 wrote: 09 Sep 2024, 20:19 But why not include it when some regional models have it? i dont get it. what reason would they have to not include it?

Re: Start -Stop dashboard button missing
There isn't as far as I'm aware and there is no such mention of this in any use manual for this vehicle for this year! - please upload a photo to show this as it's one or the other and I'd need to see this on the touchscreen along with the physical button on the dash in the same photo.....
The only vehicle settings changeable by the Touchscreen are:
You are most likely confusing another function with LDWS.
I have Connected NAC and there is no such option on the touchscreen for this function - only the button highlighted (Right Hand Drive)
